Sodium Metabisulfite: When sodium metabisulfite or sodium hydrogensulfite are added to wine as a “stabilizer”, sulfur dioxide is produced. Our product replaces the commonly used Campden tablets. The sulfur dioxide generating solution is sold by Osorno in 1 litre bottles, of which 1 ml is used for 1 litre wine, producing 50 mg/l sulfur dioxide.
