If we want to make high-quality wine, it is important to know how to effectively manage sulfite levels in wines. When managed correctly, sulfites in a wine protect it from oxidation and microbial contamination during production, aging and storage. This allows the wine to develop safely throughout its entire lifetime.

Our sulfite solution replaces the commonly used Campden tablets. It is important to remember that excessive concentrations of sulfite in wine can be toxic or can cause severe allergies. Osorno’s Sulfite Solution allows for very precise sulfite dosing, which makes it preferable over sodium metabisulfite powder or Campden tablets.

Osorno’s Sulfite Solution is sold in the Osorno Store in 1 litre bottles, of which 1 ml is used for 1 litre wine, producing 50 mg/L sulfur dioxide.
